Pumori Expedition (7145m)

Pumori (7,145 m) is one of the easiest peaks among 7,000m. peaks in Nepal. It has relatively less technical climbing and gorges. But the difficulty depends upon the weather condition of the climbing period. The route keeps on changing due to avalanches and crevasses. The best month for climbing is May. The Mt. Pumori Base camp can be reached Kathmandu – Lukla flight and trekking via Namche Bazaar, Thyangboche – Pheriche and Lobuche. Mt. Pumori is 7145m. high and ascent starts at 5,300m.

    Itinerary Outline

    Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport and transfers to Hotel
    Day 02: A free day in Kathmandu for necessery prepairation of trek/climb
    Day 03: A free day in Kathmandu, briefing in Department of Tourism
    Day 04: Kathmandu – Lukla 2860m. by flight and trek to Phakding (2622m)
    Day 05: Phakding – Namche Bazaar (3440m)
    Day 06: Namche rest for acclimatization
    Day 07: Namche – Thyangboche (3867m)
    Day 08: Thyangboche – Pheriche (4342m)
    Day 09: Pheriche – Lobuche (4915m)
    Day 10: Lobuche – Pumori Base Camp (5300m)
    Day 11-23: Climbing Period for Pumori (7145m)
    Day 24: Clean up Pumori Base Camp – Pangboche (3985m)
    Day 25: Pangboche – Namche Bazaar
    Day 26: Namche – Lukla and transfer to Teahouse Lodge
    Day 27: Lukla – Kathmandu by flight and transfer to Hotel
    Day 28: Free day in Kathmandu
    Day 29: Free day in Kathmandu
    Day 30: Transfers to airport for your flight back
